JOB OPPORTUNITY 

The Front Office Assistant will:

  • Welcome students and families into the school and answer questions/requests.

  • Support students who are feeling ill, possibly injured; manage medical/first aid needs.

  • Courteously handle telephone calls, walk-in visits and face-to-face meetings.

  • Be a calm, welcoming, peaceful and joyful presence with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy & demanding work environment.

  • Graciously and professionally communicate and interface with parents, students, teachers, staff, leadership and the general public with genuine compassion, concern and empathy for all. Must have an attitude of “no question is a dumb question” no matter how many times the question is asked.

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Possess excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy & thoroughness.

  • Assist the Office Administrator with general office support; managing and performing all front office/reception duties.

  • Provide administrative support to the school’s Leadership Team.

  • Assist in maintaining school data and records, including managing forms and responding to requests.

  • Assist in management of technology including systems, software support and website management.

  • Provide purchasing, procurement, inventory and bookkeeping support, including collecting payments, and assuring petty cash log is accurate.

  • Design marketing materials for fundraising and school events.

  • Assist in the maintenance of office equipment, including copier and laminators.

  • Assist with school events planning, management & execution. 

  • Provide support with admissions, re-enrollment, operations and special projects as needed.

  • Provide support to homeroom parents and event chairs. 

  • Assist with facilities support & emergency response systems and responsibilities.

  • Steadfastly hold self accountable to high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Actively engage in productive and collaborative dialogue to assist in problem solving.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to “sweep the floors” - complete all tasks, regardless of perceived importance, with a positive attitude, personal humility and a willingness to learn.

  • Be a self-starter with tons of initiative and a willingness to learn new skills & complete assigned tasks timely and with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Perform special research, analyses, other duties & assist with special projects as requested or needed.

  • Work regularly with of the following systems:

    • Gradelink (SIS)

    • Online mass email & marketing program

    • Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Publisher

    • Adobe software products

    • Google Applications

    • Squarespace - Website design and editing program

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

  • Active member in good standing at a Christian church. 

  • At least a high school diploma & related work experience, preferably in a school setting.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with general financial & operational business practices, preferably in a school setting.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with oral and written fluency in Spanish.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with marketing & fundraising material design experience.
